CHALLENGE YOURSELF.

In a world where we are increasingly inundated with information, we’ve lost track of the essential. But what could be materially essential? The inspiring texts and impulses that trigger us to think and learn. The valuable ideas that bring us deeper insights. The stimulating exchange of letters that broaden and extend our understanding of the world.

Bionic Reading opens up a whole new dimension of reading. Informational content can be absorbed in a faster, more conscious and sustainable way. Through Bionic Reading the reader’s eye is guided to specifically selected areas of the text known as “fixation points”, and reading becomes a playful, exciting and pleasurable task. The eye no longer needs to grasp all the letters within a word. In fact, the reader only senses the first few letters of a word and the brain then automatically adds the ending letters to form a recognizable word. Hence both eye and brain share equally the reading process.

These fixation points can also be defined at greater distances. For example, points could be placed after every second, third, fourth, etc. word, and the resulting algorithm then be applied to the whole text. Therefore, each user can choose his or her individual Bionic Reader setting according to their reading habits, then let the software visualize output corresponding to their needs.

Bionic typography is still in its‘ infancy. But we have big plans. We will campaign for this new form of reading because we believe in its positive effect.
